Abstract: IBM has been announcing since 2001 the IBM Open Class Dynamic Link Libraries will be withdrawn and the customer must migrate. IBM strongly recommends removing your dependency on the IBM Open Class Library. z/OS V1.8 is the last release to include the C/C++ IBM Open Class (IOC) Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs). Application code using the IOC DLL will require a recompile. Applications trying to use the IOC DLL on a z/OS 1.9 system will fail with a message similar to “CEE3501S The module ASCCOLL was not found.”
