Abstract: Recent IBM Z machine generations with more processor cores can host very large SAP workloads in a single Z CEC and provide a viable platform for customers to implement server consolidation and colocation. A series of large-scale measurements with an SAP core banking batch workload was conducted to determine performance benefits and advantages of various colocated configurations.
