Business need
To support innovation and offer integrated mail and collaboration experiences as it became a cloud platform company, IBM aimed to transition all employees to IBM® Verse™ quickly and non-disruptively.

In just nine months, IBM delivered a cloud-based collaboration platform to support its entire business community of 500,000 users—creating a central space to help its people share ideas seamlessly.

IBM replaced more than 430 on-premises mail servers with a cognitive collaboration platform—saving millions of dollars per year, nurturing innovation and shortening time to market for new services.
