You'll also hear from Danny Branch, CIO for AMB Sports & Entertainment, who will describe how IBM and Atlanta Mercedes-Benz stadium collaborated to build the architecture that delivers the ultimate fan experience.
Tom Rosamilia is Senior Vice President of IBM Systems and Chairman for IBM North America. Mr. Rosamilia has global responsibility for IBM server and storage systems and software as well as the company's global Business Partner organization. In addition, he is responsible for ensuring operational synergies across the breadth of IBM to drive value and growth in the North America market.
Previously, Mr. Rosamilia served as Senior Vice President of IBM Systems and Technology Group and IBM Integrated Supply Chain, where he led IBM’s semiconductor, servers, storage, and the system software business; all of IBM’s supply chain; and the company’s Global Business Partners organization.
During his 30-plus years with IBM, Mr. Rosamilia has held several leadership roles, including General Manager of IBM WebSphere; General Manager of System z and Power Systems; and Vice President of Corporate Strategy and General Manager of Enterprise Initiatives.
Mr. Rosamilia received his bachelor's degree from Cornell University, with majors in computer science and economics. In April 2016, he was elected to the board of directors of Rockwell Automation. Mr. Rosamilia has also served on the boards of the United Way of Dutchess County, the United Way of Silicon Valley, the Silicon Valley Manufacturing Group and the California Manufacturing and Technology Association. In 2015, Mr. Rosamilia was appointed as Economic Advisor to the Governor of Guangdong Province of the People's Republic of China and was re-appointed in 2017. In April 2018, Mr. Rosamilia completed a year-long assignment in Beijing, China, where he led the global IBM Systems business and acted as a local representative of IBM Corporate Headquarters.
Danny Branch begins his 15th year as Chief Information Officer for AMB Sports & Entertainment and boasts more than 30 years of experience in systems development, deployment, and support. As Chief Information Officer, he is responsible for all information technology related activities for the Falcons, Atlanta United, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and all other enterprises in the Blank Family of Businesses. Highlights from Branch’s tenure at AMBSE include leading the creation and launch of the Atlanta Falcons first official mobile app, Falcons Mobile, directing the launch of the Falcons first retail operations and Team Store and leading the initial creation and launch of the official e-commerce site for PGA TOUR Superstore. Branch also leads all IT operations for Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the technology experience behind the stadium’s award-winning fan experience, which culminated in a record-breaking IT and technology performance metrics during Super LIII at MBS.
Branch joined the Falcons in 2004 from The Home Depot, where he most recently was vice president of information services. Starting at The Home Depot in 1990 as a senior systems engineer, he was promoted rapidly through the engineering and ultimately, the information services management ranks. While at The Home Depot, Branch partnered with NCR to be the first home improvement retailer to implement and deploy self check-out. He also developed and deployed Home Depot’s current gift card program, which replaced their previous paper based gift certificate program.
Prior to The Home Depot, Branch worked in programming, engineering and project management roles for CONTEL, Management Science America, and Texas Instruments. A Georgia product, Danny earned his associate degree in Mathematics from Abraham Baldwin Junior College (Tifton, Ga.). He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Georgia and completed an advanced leadership development program at the Babson School of Executive Education (Babson Park, Mass.). Branch is active in the community and is a strong supporter of Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.
Danny and his wife, Claire, live in Senoia, Georgia with their daughter, Chloe (24) and son, Alex (21).
