IBM to Release ''IBM and the Future of Banking'' Podcast

IBM announced today that the fifth podcast in the series, "IBM and the Future of . . ." will begin today on its investor Web site. The podcast is called "IBM and the Future of Banking."
"IBM and the Future of Banking" explores how new technology will combine with new ways of doing banking to bring radical innovations to the delivery of retail banking services. This will happen as banks embrace sophisticated retailing techniques to help them serve their customers better, including the deployment of life-cycle modeling, data mining and business analytics to improve marketing and customer understanding. Among the consequences of these changes will be greater investment in high-tech bank branches of the future.
The podcast is hosted by Ben Edwards and features a discussion between Mark Greene, head of IBM's global banking industry sales organization and Rusty Wiley, who heads IBM's global banking industry consulting practice.

While the current information on its investor Web site is largely historical, IBM's podcast series discusses both general technology trends and IBM innovations in a variety of emerging business and technology areas.
