The official Web site of the 1998 French Open, live since early May, was created, designed and is powered by IBM for the Federation Francaise de Tennis. Features include historical tournament information, current news, draws, player biographies and statistics. When the tournament begins on May 25, real-time results and match summaries will be available on the official Web site.

Lotus Domino Go and Lotus Domino 4.6.1 servers form the backbone of the official French Open Web site. An innovative Lotus Notes Client application functions as an end-to-end content publishing system, allowing content authors to create text in Lotus Notes and publish it directly to the Web site. IBM's Net.Commerce software, one of the company's key e-commerce applications, lets fans make secure credit card purchases online from anywhere in the world.
