IBM and NetGenesis Announce Premier E-Business Integrator / Software Reseller Agreement

IBM to Deliver NetGenesis Products, Services and Analytic Consulting to Empower E-Businesses with Online Customer Intelligence

CAMBRIDGE, Mass - 10 Apr 2000: -- NetGenesis Corp., (NASDAQ: NTGX) today announced a premier Web integrator and software reseller agreement with IBM (NYSE: IBM), the world's leading e-business services company. NetGenesis is a leader in providing customer intelligence to Internet-enabled and Fortune 500 enterprises. IBM Global Services consultants have been certified to implement and integrate NetGenesis products as well as deliver analytic consulting based upon the methodologies developed by NetGenesis' Analytic Consulting Division. The two companies will build a combined practice, delivered by IBM, to provide customers with leading e-business technologies and analytical services.

Through this premier Web integrator and reseller agreement, IBM will deliver NetGenesis solutions worldwide, with more than 200 IBM Global Services Consultants receiving training on NetGenesis products and consulting services this year. Comprehensive training will include needs assessment, implementation and integration practices. The combination of NetGenesis software and IBM's services can help companies improve sales strategies, marketing initiatives and site content by accurately targeting customer segments.

IBM and NetGenesis have also collaborated on a product integration application, called NetInstrument for IBM WebSphere Commerce Suite. NetInstrument is an add-on application that correlates NetAnalysis online customer behavioral data with demographics, purchase and pricing data obtained from the WebSphere Commerce Suite. The integration with IBM's WebSphere Commerce Suite provides organizations with the ability to make business-critical decisions on a consolidated datamart with a broader level of reporting capabilities.
