IBM Wins "Best New Product Awards"

WASHINGTON - 20 Apr 2000: -- IBM Corporation won three "Best New Product Awards" at the Fifth Annual Government Computer News FOSE 2000 tradeshow and conference. IBM was stacked up against competitors such as Dell, Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard and won more awards than any other PC vendor at the show. The winning IBM products were cited for their innovation, usability and value.

FOSE is the largest government information technology show of its kind in the world.

IBM took top honors with the Netfinity 6000R(a) in the enterprise server/system category; the ThinkPad 600X(a) in the portable computer category and the Avid XpressDV-IBM IntelliStation(a) combination for the best technical-user computer. Thirteen other IBM products earned spots as finalists in 14 FOSE award categories - - ranging from end-user computers to enterprise software.
