Robust and Reliable Solution
The IBM Infoprint 12 monochrome printer utilizes a powerful 66MHz 32 bit IBM RISC* processor to offer a robust and reliable printing solution. The printer's controller has 4 MB of memory and supports up to 68 MB maximum memory. It has a small footprint of 14.2" (w) x 16.1" (d) x 9.9" (h).

Features and Options
The Infoprint 12 offers a standard input capacity of 350 sheets of paper (including 100 sheet auxiliary tray) matching the standard output capacity, which also supports 350 sheets (including 250 sheet top tray and 100 sheet rear exit tray). An optional 550-sheet input tray is available enabling the Infoprint 12 to hold up to 900 sheets of paper. Standard paper handling features include support for manual duplex with on-screen prompts, special media and a monthly maximum printing capacity of 20,000 pages.

The printer also features remote printing capabilities, such as auto installation of drivers using the Internet or CD-ROM. A Remote Control Panel (RCP), accessible from the desktop, enables users to modify printer settings, such as powersaver mode and paper size. The Infoprint 12 is supported by software which enables network administrators and users to monitor printer status from remote locations on a real-time basis.

The printer, designed for quick and easy installation, supports both Windows** and Macintosh** operating systems. The Infoprint 12 includes standard support for the IEEE 1284 parallel interface and USB network interfaces, with an option for an internal fast ethernet connection. Standard printing languages include PCL 6 and PCL 5e, with optional PostScript** language compatibility. The printer automatically switches among printer languages and interfaces.

Pricing, Availability and Warranty
The IBM Infoprint 12 will be generally available worldwide beginning September 29, 2000. The printer will be sold through a network of IBM resellers and remarketers, and directly from IBM via www.ibm.com/shop for $399. The Infoprint 12 has a standard one year warranty, which includes repair by replacement through IBM's depot exchange service offering. Extended warranty service is also available.
