AUSTIN, Texas - 25 Oct 2001: IBM today announced products from its Tivoli portfolio of e-business infrastructure management solutions will support the latest version of Windows, concurrent with the Microsoft® release of Windows XP. Tivoli software now offers the most comprehensive management of Windows XP support among systems management vendors.

A host of Tivoli solutions now enable the monitoring, configuration, security and storage management of XP-based machines, while helping to integrate Windows XP with other operating platforms in a customer's heterogeneous environment.

"We are very pleased Tivoli has chosen to support Windows XP. We are planning to migrate our desktops and laptops to Windows XP and it is essential that Tivoli management software be there to help us manage it," said Max Leipold, Project Manager, BMW.

"Tivoli products supporting Windows XP can help ease the integration of this new operating platform into our customers' IT environments, and can help them meet their objective of a quicker time-to-value on investments. A majority of our customers have Windows in their environments, so they can proceed with the adoption of Windows XP with the assurance that comprehensive, up-to-date management capabilities are available," said Robert LeBlanc, general manager, Tivoli Software, IBM Software Group.
