IBM and STFC Open Center for Businesses to Design High Performance Computing Applications

Today, IBM and the UK government's Science and Technology Facilities Council deepened their relationship with the opening of a POWER Acceleration and Design Center, an application design center for UK businesses looking gain actionable insight from their data. IBM and UK Government Open Center to Advance Application Development for High Performance Computing

A new POWER Acceleration and Design Center at the Hartree Centre in Daresbury represents a deeper partnership between IBM and the UK government's Science and Technology Facilities Council. With the help of technology innovations developed by IBM and fellow OpenPOWER Foundation members including NVIDIA and Mellanox, UK businesses will be able to gain competitive differentiation utilizing advanced computing systems to develop applications for modelling and simulation, cognitive computing and Big Data research.
