Each week, IBM will highlight a story from around the world where IBM engineers are collaborating with clients, business partners, ISV's and education institutions to bring the latest technology to the market in new and innovative ways. |
Did you know...
...in the first-ever 'Cell Broadband Engine Processor University Challenge,' IBM recognized teams from the University of California-Irvine and Dartmouth College as winners in Region 1 (North America, Latin America)? Last week, the Region 2 (Asia, Europe) winner was announced; that honor belonging to students from Shanghai Jiaotong University in Shanghai, China.
The team pocketed a first prize award of $10,000 and wide recognition across the science community. Their winning entry: Exact CT Reconstruction on Cell Broadband Engine Architecture.
