Each week, IBM will highlight a story from around the world where IBM engineers are collaborating with clients, business partners, ISV's and education institutions to bring the latest technology to the market in new and innovative ways. |
Did you know...
...the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and IBM have teamed up to bring the next-generation of the IBM Blue Gene/P supercomputer to the National Center for Computational Sciences?
To help kick-off the new system's installation, IBM's own Kirk Jordan of the Deep Computing Emerging Solution Executive team was invited to the American Museum of Science and Energy in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to discuss and demonstrate the Blue Gene/P's unique and powerful features. The new IBM system will help the NCCS advance it's charter to provide an "unparalleled environment in which to increase mankind's understanding of the world".
