MetaPad Over the years, IBM has developed many of the world's smallest and most powerful, wearable computers for specific field applications. We realized that if we could make the brain — the core of a computer — small enough, it would be the ideal component for any mobile computer user to carry, and it could be transformed into many end products, depending on user needs and situations. The complete essence of a computer is in one integrated package — operating system, applications and data. Users would only need one core device to fulfill their unique business and personal computing needs.
