Showcasing IBM Solutions for Life Insurance Core Systems
 | | |
|
The Life Insurance Solutions Showcase provides two inter-related interactive representations of the end to end set of IBM's world class Core Life Insurance and Infrastructure System solutions that provide game changing business and IT transformation in the most cost efficient and technology effective manner. These two showcases are best when used together, one after the other, to show how both the technology enabled business processes and the underlying infrastructure work together to create the most effective on demand IT environment for Life Insurers.
|
|
The Life Insurance Solutions Showcase will help you see first hand how multiple IBM Core Life Insurance Solutions and Infrastructure Solutions can address the ever changing needs of Life Insurers.
|
First use the
Business Solutions Showcase to demonstrate the capabilities of IBM Core Life Insurance Selected Business Solutions and then use the follow-on
Infrastructure Solutions Showcase to see exactly how the underlying infrastructure brings the business solution to life.
The Life Insurance Business Solutions Showcase
This live laptop based working parts demonstration shows how the Variable Universal Life insurance application submission, underwriting and issue process can be implemented using Service Oriented Architecture integration techniques, straight through processing, process choreography and business functionality provided by multiple business partners to dramatically streamline the work flow. Today the issue of a life contract is typically measured in terms of 5 to 28 days of a manually intensive paper based processing. Using the techniques just mentioned, that are supported by IBM's world class middleware and infrastructure, we have reduced this process to a fraction of this time, a mere 45 minutes or less.
The Life Insurance Infrastructure Solutions Showcase
This live briefing center based demonstration shows the complementary Business Solution Showcase scenario and running on a typical insurance carrier's infrastructure environment, at scale and with visual representations of the expected and demonstrable qualities of service. This interactive view of a SOA based insurance solution's infrastructure shows how newer applications once viewed as optimized on distributed platforms are now architected to exploit a more simplified infrastructure architecture that leverages the integration of mainframes with Unix and Intel based platforms.
