Paul DiMarzio has responsibility for the System z brand technical strategy with respect to emerging applications and support for heterogeneous workloads. He has 25 years experience in IBM, most of it with System z operating systems and middleware. *

Steve Wehr is the System z Retail Industry architect from the System z New Workloads and Solutions department in Poughkeepsie, NY. Steve has held various technical positions with IBM for 33 years, with the last 2 years focused on building the System z strategy for the retail industry. He has spent the previous 12 years assisting customers with the architecture, performance, availability, and memory configuration of large WebSphere applications on System z Linux. Steve is the author of several widely-read technical papers and redbooks, and presents regularly at technical conferences. *

Kenneth Muckenhaupt is an Executive IT Specialist and Server and Technology Group (STG) Financial Services Sector CTO at the IBM Financial Services Sector Center of Excellence. He has over 34 years experience in IBM hardware and software development. His past assignments include microcode development on IBM’s mainframe processors, management of a mainframe microcode development department, a technology leader assignment for the introduction of object-oriented technology on OS/390, a three-year assignment in the development and test of IBM’s Component Broker on OS/390, and an eight year assignment as an e-business on-demand consultant at the IBM Design Center and Center for Solution Integration. As FSS CTO, Ken is the thought leader for the integration of IBM hardware and middleware technologies for the development of complex, multiplatform banking and financial market solutions. Currently, he directs a worldwide team of systems architects and IT specialists across IBM’s Server and Technology Group, Software Group, and service organizations. Furthermore, he provides FSS industry consultation to IBM marketing and sales teams. *

Jenna Bucher-Brown is a market manager on the WW System z team responsible for development and early adoption of new technology such as zEnterprise. Jenna has been with IBM for 25 years holding positions in Sales, Global Services and Global Marketing, predominantly working with customers  *

Over the years Saran held several positions in IBM both in Technical and Management field. For the past several years, Saran has worked extensively in the Financial industry driving implementation of core banking solutions on System z platform, delivering banking solutions on z, and building a strong knowledge base in banking vendor products. *

Mike Baskey is the lead technologist for SWG defining the Service Management strategy for zEnterprise. He’s been working in system Z for over 31 years and is responsible for IBM’s cloud standards strategy. *

Richard is the Manager of the SWG Technical Strategy Team and has had various management and sales positions with IBM for 26 years. *

David Kang is an Executive Project Manager for the IBM Software Group and has responsibility for the overall software strategy on System z including the new zEnterprise. David has been with IBM for 10 years holding various positions in IBM hardware and software. *

Michael Dickson is a member of the System z brand team and focuses on mid-range servers. Mike has been with IBM for over 11 years holding various other positions related to the mainframe. *

Jeff has been with IBM for 27 years and is currently a lead architect for the zEnterprise system and the Unified Resource Manager platform management function. *

Frank is Product Development Team Lead for the z114 and z196 and has had various technical and management positions in both product development and manufacturing with IBM for 27 years. *

Martin is a well-known Performance guy, with over 25 years of experience helping customers manage their systems. He has also been involved in the development of performance analysis tools which are widely used inside IBM - for its Performance Consulting practice. Martin also takes a keen interest in modern computing technologies in general, and how they can be used in the z/OS mainframe environment in particular. *

Willie Favero is currently a Senior Certified Consulting IT Software Specialist working with the Data Warehouse for System z Swat Team at IBM's Silicon Valley Lab. *

Roland is the technical leader of the Böblingen, Germany division of a new IBM organization called the Systems Optimization Competency Center. He is focused on advancing the IBM System z business analytics strategy through optimized integration.

Recently, Roland was part of the zEnterprise core design team, acting as the architect for the hypervisor integration and management for zBX-integrated systems. He has also been lead architect for hybrid technologies for Linux on System z — with a focus on leveraging heterogeneous and host/optimizer structures in hybrid workloads. *

Stefan is an IBM System z Optimization Specialist in the Böblingen, Germany division of a new IBM organization called the Systems Optimization Competency Center. He is leading a team of developers in designing and implementing prototypes and first-of-a-kind solutions with a focus on IBM System z software appliances, Linux and cloud. Stefan also works on optimizing varying aspects of software and system products, including usability and manageability. *
