Users of web browsers should observe the following usage considerations:
- All web browsers: Text-only zooming might cause z/OSMF content to display incorrectly.
- Internet Explorer browser (any supported version):
- With Compatibility View enabled, your browser displays content as if you were using
an earlier version of Internet Explorer. For example, Internet Explorer 8 in Compatibility View behaves
like Internet Explorer 7.
- When working with service definitions in the Workload Management task, ensure that
automatic prompting for file downloads is enabled for the web link to the active z/OSMF instance.
- Internet Explorer browser (Version 7 only):
- When using the z/OSMF ISPF task:
- You might experience display problems. For example, when using the ISPF split screen option,
the text might wrap, making it difficult to read.
- When using cursor keys to navigate between fields, the cursor skips the read-only fields.
- To use the cursor dependent scrolling, you must double-click a word on a line before you can scroll.
- You might experience slow responsiveness if you open multiple tabs, work with large Workload Management service
definitions, or use the Resource Monitoring task for long periods of time.
Observe the following considerations:
- Internet Explorer 9 has not been tested with z/OSMF, but Internet Explorer 9 with Compatibility View enabled has been
found to work.
- Other browsers might work with z/OSMF V1R13, but have not been tested. Using these browsers might result in some z/OSMF
functions being unavailable.
