The results below were generated by measuring performance when parsing a set of XML documents of various sizes and complexities. The cycles per byte parsed were determined by calculating the geometric mean of the throughput values for all benchmark documents. The documents were parsed both using the default IGXMLScanner, and the specialized scanners: WFXMLScanner for SAX and DOM non-validating; DGXMLScanner for SAX and DOM DTD validation; and SGXMLScanner for SAX and DOM schema validation.
