JES2 exit assessment offering for the U.S.

There are new JES2 exit requirements in z/OS V1.7 and this service offering can help you migrate to them.

To improve availability and performance and address your concerns and requirements, JES2 and NJE are in separate address spaces in z/OS V1.7. This enhancement of JES2 support for TCP/IP via NJE requires the restructuring of many JES2 exits.

Additionally, beginning with z/OS V1.7, JES2 must run in z2, or full function, mode. This may require additional modifications to JES2 exits if you have not made them previously.

If you wrote your JES2 exits long ago and haven't touched them for many years, IBM Global Services offers a fixed-price assessment service to see whether your JES2 exits need restructuring to support TCP/IP via NJE and/or modifications to run in z2 mode. There is an additional customized remediation service to update your exits, if required.
