This offering provides a new server system ready for data serving, reducing

The IBM Rapid Deployment service delivers an environment designed to support
business workloads ranging from transactional to SAP and data warehousing.
The result is a simplified, complete system for deploying your applications
that incorporates enhanced features such as data sharing on IBM hardware in
a pretested configuration.
This offering provides the following benefits:
- New customers can quickly leverage the System z platform to expertly and
securely manage business information
- Existing customers can quickly deploy departmental and divisional
applications while maintaining control of critical business information
This service has prerequisite hardware components, including a System z9
Enterprise Class or Business Class server, connectivity switches, and IBM storage
and tape drives. A predefined software stack, including z/OS and DB2, and use of
the IBM SystemPac are also prerequisites for this offering.
