WLM Treatment of the zAAP Resource
A zAAP is a new resource type WLM is aware of that contributes usage and delay samples and service times.
zAAP utilization is reported by RMF (SPE OA05731), and zAAPs are managed by WLM as extension of CPs. Java work executing on zAAPs inherits the dispatch priority from its execution on regular CPs.
Execution is accounted for in execution velocity and goal achievement (PI). zAAPs are not varied by IRD Vary CPU Management and inherit weight from CP pool but are part of the ICF/IFL pool. Note that this is only true for z990 and z890; it no longer applies for z9-109.
