Changes for z/OS V1R6 UNIX System Services include the following:


  • z/OS UNIX support for 64-bit virtual addressing

  • Automount enhancements

  • Byte-range lock manager enhancements

  • Ending latch contention

  • ISHELL enhancements

  • Overriding default JES limits for spooled output

  • Single automount policy support for HFS and zFS

  • Superkill support

  • Support for mutexes and condition variables in shared memory
