If you want to talk online with other z/OS UNIX users and with z/OS UNIX developers, there are several mailing lists for these z/OS elements and products:

z/OS UNIX

The z/OS UNIX mailing list (called mvs-oe) is a great resource. The participants are customers who are using z/OS UNIX and some developers from IBM. Subscribers to the mailing list participate by asking questions and answering each other's questions. (You receive all the questions, answers, and comments as e-mail.)

If you want to search the archives, see the Listserv logs for MVS-OE@vm.marist.edu.

To subscribe (and perhaps participate), do either of these:

  • Complete the subscription form provided on the archive web page.
  • Send email to listserv@vm.marist.edu and in the body of the note put:
       sub mvs-oe your_first_name your_last_name

After you are subscribed, you will receive further instructions on how to use the mailing list.

TCP/IP Services

The ibmtcp-l mailing list is for customers who are using z/OSCommunications Server  (TCP/IP).

If you just want to follow the discussion, or search, you can view this month's discussion and those from previous months at the Archives of IBMTCP-L@vm.marist.edu.

To subscribe (and perhaps participate), send email to listserv@vm.marist.edu and in the body of the note put:

   sub ibmtcp-l your_first_name your_last_name

After you are subscribed, you will receive further instructions on how to use the mailing list.
