The CDT2DYN utility
CDT2DYN is a REXX exec that will help change installation-defined RACF classes into dynamic classes.
This utility will examine the contents of the current classes in the RACF static class descriptor table. (Any existing dynamic classes will be ignored.) For all static installation-defined classes, it will create the commands necessary to put those installation-defined classes into the dynamic CDT (BUILDCMD parameter). It can then execute the commands which were built (RUNCMD parameter), which will define the dynamic classes in the CDT general resource class.
The CDT2DYN utility consists of these files:
- documentation for the CDT2DYN REXX exec (TXT, 7.4KB)
- source code for the CDT2DYN REXX exec (TXT, 41.1KB)
You can download these files either by using your browser or by using anonymous file transfer protocol (ftp). From your browser, select "file" and "save as". For anonymous ftp, use the site public.dhe.ibm.com. The directory /eserver/zseries/zos/racf/cdt2dyn/ contains the CDT2DYN files.
All CDT2DYN files are in ASCII.
We welcome your comments and questions on the CDT2DYN Utility. Please direct them to the RACF-L mailing list. Subscription information for RACF-L can be found from the RACF-L Discussion List page.
