Beginning with z/OS V1R7.0, there are no longer any z/OS elements and features licensed manuals
z/OS elements and features manuals that were licensed in previous z/OS releases have been
declassified for z/OS V1R7.0 and you can find them with the
rest of the
z/OS V1R7.0 unlicensed manuals.
Licensed manuals for z/OS releases prior to z/OS V1R7.0
For z/OS releases prior to z/OS V1R7.0,
licensed users can obtain the licensed books for z/OS by
ordering the z/OS Licensed Product Library collection (LK3T-4307) or
by accessing the licensed books on the Internet free of charge using the
IBM Resource Link Web site.
Access to these books requires a key code and an IBM Registration ID and password.
With your z/OS order, you received a memo that includes the key code.
To obtain your IBM Registration ID and password:
Log on to the
IBM Resource Link Web site,
click on
Register now,
and follow the directions to get
an IBM Registration ID and password.
To register for access to z/OS licensed books:
- Log on to
Resource Link using your IBM Registration ID and password
- Click on User Profiles located on the left-hand navigation bar.
- Click on Access profile.
- Click on Request Access to Licensed books.
- Supply your key code where requested and click on the Submit button.
If you supplied the correct key code, you will receive confirmation that your request
is being processed.
After your request is processed, you will receive an e-mail confirmation.
You cannot access the z/OS licensed books unless you have registered for
access to them and have received an e-mail confirmation informing you that
your request has been processed.
If you experience any trouble accessing the z/OS licensed books after you
receive your e-mail confirmation, please wait and try again.
Sometimes you will receive your e-mail confirmation before the server
has been updated with your access information.
To access the licensed books:
- Log on to
Resource Link using your IBM Registration ID and password
- Click on Library from the navigation bar on the left.
- On the returned page, you'll find links to the z/OS licensed publications under the Software heading.
