Creating a New Enterprise Data Center
IBM’s model for the New Enterprise Data Center is designed to help clients address operational issues inherent to IT systems today. It is also offered to help transition the data center to become focused on delivering value to the business. System z10 has many of the attributes required for this new model and is seen as a cornerstone of the New Enterprise Data Center. Such a transformation requires evaluating all aspects of IT and building a transitional plan to create a simplified, shared, and dynamic infrastructure. This requires the support of a large and committed ecosystem that can help in all aspects of this transition: skills, applications, technical support, services and more. The mainframe community ecosystem is strong and growing with a continued investment by more partners delivering increased availability of skills and applications, all backed by IBM resources, services, and programs to address customers' requirements.
