Storage systems
| A four-digit feature code is used to specify a component that is configurable in the IBM configurators, the eBusiness Configurator (eConfig) and the IBM Web-based Hardware Configurator, used in US and Canada. Options that do not have feature codes cannot be integrated by IBM into a system using these IBM configurators. To purchase options separately, refer to the option part number provided in this document. |

Notes:
- A Storwize V3700 control enclosure includes 1Gb iSCSI host attachment support standard. 8Gb FC or 10Gb iSCSI/FCoE host attachment support (or additional 1Gb iSCSI ports) is optionally available. See Misc tab for options.
- A Storwize V3700 control enclosure supports the attachment of up to four Storwize V3700 expansion enclosures. Both LFF and SFF expansion enclosures can be intermixed behind either a LFF or SFF control enclosure.
- Storwize V3700 expansion enclosures are only supported for attachment to Storwize V3700 control enclosures.

Note:
- Optional host interface card (one per canister)
- Optional host interface cards: 8Gb FC, 1Gb iSCSI, or 10Gb iSCSI / FCoE
- If optional host interface card is installed, must be the same type in each canister
- If optional host interface card is not installed, there will be a blank face plate in this position.
- USB ports (two per canister standard)
- Used during during machine installation.
- 1Gb Ethernet ports (two per canister standard)
- Can be used for iSCSI host attachment and for system management.
- 6Gb SAS ports (four per canister standard)
- SAS ports are numbered 1 through 4 (left to right).
- Ports number 1, 2 and 3 are disabled and will be covered with a dust cap. They are reserved for future use.
- Port number 4 is used for attachment of an expansion enclosure.
- All SAS ports are mini-SAS HD (SFF-8644 connector).

Note:
- Expansion canister (standard quantity = two)
- Two 6Gb SAS ports (per canister) used for attachment to control enclosure or another expansion enclosure.
- SAS ports are numbered 1 and 2 (left to right).
- Port number 1 is used to connect to a control enclosure or to another expansion enclosure (upstream).
- Port number 2 is used for attachment of an expansion enclosure (downstream).
- All SAS ports are mini-SAS HD (SFF-8644 connector).
