A four-digit feature code is used to specify a component that is configurable in the IBM configurators, the eBusiness Configurator (eConfig) and the IBM Web-based Hardware Configurator, used in US and Canada. Options that do not have feature codes cannot be integrated by IBM into a system using these IBM configurators. To purchase options separately, refer to the option part number provided in this document.

Notes:

  1. The 1-Node Speed Burst Card takes the QPI links used for scaling multiple processor blades and routes them back to the processors on a single-wide HX5 EX blade.
  2. The 2-Node Scalability Card allows for two HX5 EX Processor Blades to form a double-wide four-socket Processor Blade.
  3. If qty 1 processor is installed, it must be plugged into the CPU 1 socket of the processor blade. The CPU 2 socket must contain a heatsink baffle to maintain proper airflow.
  4. If multiple processors are installed, they must have the same set of features and functions (e.g. speed, wattage, series type).
  5. Mixing of processors that have different values for their respective features is not allowed.
  6. Not supported if HX5 2-node scalability kit (SBB 46M6839 / FC 1737) or MAX5 (SBB 46M6972 / FC1740 or SBB 88Y6127 / FC A16N) is selected
