Veritas Cluster Server
Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) is an open-systems clustering solution that protects critical applications and databases against downtime, whether planned or unplanned, within the local, metropolitan, or wide area network. VCS simplifies cluster implementation and file system & storage volume management and offers off-the-shelf support for a wide range of applications, including, but not limited to, applications such as SAP, BEA, Siebel, Oracle Applications, Exchange, and PeopleSoft plus enterprise-class databases such as Oracle, DB2®, SQL, and Sybase.
Optimize application and database availability. |
Help protect critical applications and databases against planned and unplanned downtime. |
Effectively manage a wide range of applications in heterogeneous environment. |

Veritas Storage Foundation
Veritas Storage Foundation (VSF) provides a complete solution for file system & storage volume management. By limiting the amount of time administrators need to take storage offline to perform regular maintenance, VSF also frees space on expensive arrays by moving unimportant files to cheaper storage. VSF mirrors data for redundancy and automatically migrates data from failing disks to healthy disks to cut downtime from unplanned events. In addition, the High Availability (HA) version of VSF includes VCS to quickly move an application from a failed server to a healthy server.
Enable continuous data availability, ease-of-use, and data protection. |
Eliminate the need for servers to be taken off-line for backup and maintenance. |
Provide a scalable, high-performance infrastructure to meet the increasing demands of user loads in client/server environments. |

Veritas Storage Foundation™ (SF) Basic
SF Basic is a free version of Storage Foundation from Symantec. SF Basic is designed for edge-tier workloads and gives large data center customers the ability to cost-effectively standardize on SF, not just on their back-end database and mission-critical application workloads, but also on edge and infrastructure servers as well. Existing SF customers can also standardize on SF across every server in their environment. If you have never deployed SF, here is your chance to "test drive" SF in a low-risk way.
Enable online configuration and administration. |
Centralize multi-host management (when combined with the new Storage Foundation Management Server). |
Provides easy-to-use data migration tools with Dynamic Multi-pathing. |
