With data transfer rates of up to 6Gb/s per port, the ServeRAID M5000 series bring users new features and improved performance, while continuing to support all the benefits of the previous 3Gb/s SAS/SATA generation. This new ServeRAID line of adapters, ideal for inside-the-box connectivity, employ the latest in RAID on Chip technology, comply with the PCI Express 2.0 specification, and provide additional data security using encryption services with Self-Encrypting Drives (SED).

ServeRAID M5000 Series SAS/SATA Controllers

ServeRAID M5025 comes with two x4 external SAS/SATA ports while ServeRAID M5014 and M5015 come with two x4 port internal SAS/SATA ports for servers with the flexibility to use both SAS and SATA hard drives. Offerings with 2 cache sizes and an optional battery caters to all your enterprise needs. These new RAID Controllers come with performance improvements significantly reducing computational times in clients engaged in digital video surveillance, video rendering and data logging. While the new and improved MegaRAID Storage Manager saving valuable configuration time for administrators by reducing configuration iterations by 45%. The Intelligent Battery Backup Unit (iBBU) with Coulomb Counting Battery Gas Gauge provides ultimate data protection with extremely accurate capacity monitoring versus open circuit voltage measuring used by competition.
