In 2006 the IBM PowerNet programme took some of its most successful community members to an all expenses paid Christmas shopping trip to New York. This incentive was based on pipeline generation and was followed by an incentive later in the year focussed on revenue. The prize for the later incentive is an all expenses paid ski-ing trip to Chamonix in February 2007. To ensure equal participation throughout the community, the prizes are allocated by partner type, measuring both the number of opportunities generated as well as total overall revenue.
