A Server Makeover Analysis1 aims to provide you with a high-level roadmap for simplification and consolidation of your current IT environment to help to lower your TCO and reduce your risks.
The Makeover Analysis includes the following:
- Analysis of your relevant IT environment data2 (e.g.: servers, images, storage, operating system profiles, application profiles, server taxonomy, etc).
- High-level recommendation of a target future environment, including number of servers and OS images, including sizing and characterizing based upon "possible" changes to the said environment.
- Comparison of the TCO of the current environment and of the future state.
- Estimation of the transformation activities, timeline and effort required to simplify, consolidate and migrate from the current state to the future state.
- Delivery of a report to summarize the analysis based on the scope defined above.
Terms and Conditions
- The IBM Makeover Program Office will review your request for a Server Makeover analysis and will confirm your eligibility and respond to you promptly.
- The Server Makeover analysis offer is only valid for analysis of IT environments comprised primarily of non-IBM servers and storage systems. The offer is also only valid for customers who plan to implement a server consolidation project within the next six months and plan to spend at least US$200,000 on new server hardware. Customers with predominantly IBM environments should contact their sales team or business partner and learn more about other programs and services tailored specifically to meet their needs.
- This offer is valid until 12/31/07.
- You will need to provide access to the necessary information and personnel required to conduct the Server Makeover Analysis, including but not limited to data on servers, images, storage, operating systems and profiles, application profiles, server taxonomy, etc. upon request.
- IBM reserves the right to alter the terms of this offer or terminate this offer at any time at its sole discretion.
1 Server Makeover analysis is exclusively offered by IBM's Global Business Services (GBS) divisions Application Services, Conversions & Migration (AS C&M) unit.
2 In the event that data on the customer's IT environment is incomplete, IBM shall leverage its knowledge database to 'fill in the gaps' in customer data to develop the next steps or recommendations.
