What is ISI/ISR?
IBM's ISI/ISR programme is a teaming process. An IBM Business Partner and Integrator (ISI) forms an alliance with an Industry Solution Reseller (ISR) to provide an application solution that is distributed via channel partners or directly to global end user customers (where authorised to sell).
ISRs
The programme helps the ISRs to develop integrated products and solutions based on IBM technology. These solutions are referred to as appliances. They are repeatable solutions that can be brought to market quickly and at a low cost. Solutions can be made available to customers across the globe.
ISIs
ISIs are those responsible for assembling the appliances in the UK and, if necessary, exporting them overseas. Although they provide the integration and delivery service for the ISR, it is the ISR that provides the application software.
Why was the programme developed?
IBM created the programme specifically to meet the technology requirements and business needs of ISRs who want to incorporate IBM's market-leading technology in their integrated solutions and, at the same time, take advantage of the capabilities that IBM Business Partners can provide.

Why should solution providers join the programme?
ISRs can integrate their solution for delivery to multiple customers around the world.

- Opportunities to collaborate with IBM Business Partners who offer integration expertise and understand the hardware business
- Increasing your revenue by selling solutions to newly identified customers
- The combined knowledge, technology and facilities of a dedicated network, and continued guidance and support from the ISI/ISR team
- The ability to leverage IBM's global reach by offering IBM's global warranty and support to end customers (on selected products).
- A flexible business model that enables the ISR to contract directly with their ISI to define their own unique business relationship. No contract is required between the ISR and IBM.

Contact the ISI/ISR Ecosystem Alliance team to apply to be an ISI.
If you're an industry solution provider:
You could become an ISR. Contact the Ecosystems Alliance Manager, who will be able to match you to potential ISI.
Industry focus
The programme is currently focused on the following market segments: telecommunications, finance, health care and life sciences, aerospace and defence, security, networking, and media and entertainment. The team are continually working to include additional market areas.
