- Platform Cluster Manager - Advanced Edition: Optimizes compute-intensive environments with self-provisioning and management capabilities,, enabling users to request a custom cluster, specifying size, type and timeframe. The Advanced Edition also provides the ability to rapidly deploy clusters and grids on a shared pool of cloud resources, including a mix of technologies such as IBM Platform LSF®, IBM Platform Symphony, Grid Engine, Hadoop, and most other third-party workload managers.
- Platform Cluster Manager - Standard Edition: is easy-to-use, powerful cluster management software that improves the productivity of technical computing users by reducing the cluster management complexity. Platform Cluster Manager - Standard Edition delivers a comprehensive set of cluster provisioning, monitoring and reporting capabilities. It automates the deployment of the operating system and software components, as well as complex activities such as provisioning and maintenance of a cluster. The centralized, user friendly user interface allows system administrators to manage complex clusters from anywhere. All the functions required to operate a cluster are installed at once and are tightly integrated. By leveraging embedded xCAT technology, Platform Cluster Manager - Standard Edition offers expanded cluster management scalability.
