Low-profile, entry-level and mid-range IBM tape, DVD and RDX removable storage device enclosure supported in IBM® Power Systems™, IBM BladeCenters, and open system platforms
The IBM 7226 Multimedia Storage Enclosure Model 1U3 (7226-1U3) offers tape, optical and removable disk drive storage in a single enclosure. The 7226 is designed to mount in one EIA unit of a standard Power System 19-inch rack, and may be configured with the following drives:
- DAT160 80 GB SAS or USB tape drive: Up to two drives*
- HHLTO5 1500 GB SAS or Fiber Channel tape drives: Up to two drives*
- DVD-RAM SAS or USB optical drive: Up to four drives*
- RDX Removable 320GB, 500 GB or 1 TB USB disk drive: Up to two drive docks*
The 7226 Model 1U3 is designed to attach to most models of Power Systems through SAS or USB adapters. The Half-high LTO5 Fiber Channel tape drive is also available on IBM BladeCenter systems.
