The IBM System Storage TS3200 Tape Library is a high capacity and performance LTO tape library for the midrange open systems environments. The TS3200 offers:
- External 4U standalone or rack-mountable unit
- Up to four IBM LTO Ultrium 4 or Ultrium 3 tape drives
- Up to four removable magazines with space for 48 accessible data cartridges
- Full Height Ultrium 4 models with 4 Gbps Fibre Channel attachment, LVD SCSI attachment, or 3 Gbps SAS attachment; Ultrium 3 models with 4 Gbps Fibre Channel attachment or LVD SCSI attachment. While Half-Height models offers a 3 Gbps SAS interface for HH LTO 4 or an LVD SCSI or a 3 Gbps SAS interface for HH LTO 3 drives
- Read/write and WORM storage capacity up to 1.6 TB per cartridge with 2:1 compression; 800 GB native with LTO 4 tape cartridges
