The IBM System Storage TS3100 Tape Library and its storage management applications are designed to address capacity, performance, data protection, reliability, availability, affordability and application requirements. The TS3100 offers:
- 2 U form factor tape library with up to 24 data cartridge slots
- Choice of either IBM LTO Ultrium 4 or Ultrium 3 tape drive
- Ultrium 4 models with 4 Gbps Fibre Channel attachment, LVD SCSI attachment, or 3 Gbps SAS attachment; Ultrium 3 models with 4 Gbps Fibre Channel attachment or LVD SCSI attachment
- Read/write and WORM storage capacity up to 1.6 TB per cartridge with 2:1 compression; 800 GB native with LTO 4 tape cartridges
