The IBM System Storage TS2240 Tape Drive is an entry-level, external tape drive incorporating the IBM LTO 4 tape storage technology in a half-high form factor. The TS2240 offers:
- Use of standard high-capacity LTO 4 tape cartridges in half-high form factor drive
- Read/write and WORM storage capacity up to 1.6 TB per cartridge with 2:1 compression; 800 GB native
- Data transfer rate up to 120 MB/sec native
- Back-level support including read/write capability with Ultrium 3 and read capability with Ultrium 2 cartridges
