The IBM3592 Tape Frame Model C20 supports the IBM System Storage TS1120 Tape Drives and IBM TotalStorage Enterprise Tape Drive 3592 Model J1A Tape Drives in a Sun StorageTek 9310 silo. The 3592 C20 frame can hold up to twenty TS1120 or 3592 J1A drives. The 3592 C20 frame allows Sun StorageTek customers to immediately benefit from the increased capacity, performance, and reliability provided by theTS1120 tape drive.

The 3592 C20 frame supports direct FC or Storage Area Network attachment of TS1120 and 3592 J1A tape drives to IBM System x and System p servers, as well as selected open system servers from Sun Microsystems and Hewlett- Packard and Intel processor-based systems running Microsoft® Windows® operating systems. System z attachment support is provided by the TS1120 Tape Controller.
