It sets performance thresholds for the devices based on selected performance metrics, generating alerts when those thresholds are exceeded. Tivoli Storage Productivity Center for Disk helps simplify the complexity of managing multiple SAN-attached storage devices. Key features include:

• Enable proactive performance management with a single, integrated console for monitoring IBM System Storage devices.
• Monitor metrics, such as I/O rates and cache utilization, and support optimization of storage through the identification of the best LUNs across multiple storage subsystems.

The Select series also supports any storage devices that are attached to Storwize V7000.
