New fabric backbone - The IBM System Storage™ SAN768B is the next generation high-performance, high-density and high-availability SAN fabric backbone designed to be the foundation for large enterprise-class infrastructure simplification. Previous SAN components were limited to 4 Gbps link speeds; the SAN768B can be configured with 8 Gbps blades and can connect to other existing or new 8 Gbps fabric components.
