The IBM TotalStorage® SAN768B is a next generation high–performance, high–density and high–availability SAN director designed to be the foundation for large enterprise–class infrastructure simplification. Previous Brocade–type switches were limited to 4 Gbs speeds; the SAN768B can be configured with an 8Gb blade and 8 Gb switches. The technology advancements of the SAN768B can serve as both the core or edge building block in an IBM TotalStorage b–type fabric or as a high–density stand-alone director, helping provide investment protection and configuration flexibility.
