Expect more from your storage and your storage provider

Organizations of all sizes continue to struggle with the explosive growth of information, rising storage costs, flat IT and storage budgets, and increasing user expectations. To meet these challenges – to store and consistently extract business value from all of this data – a new approach to storage is needed.

Storwize V7000 Unified - the world’s most powerful midrange storage system - adds integrated file support

Store more – and more diverse – data with higher capacity drives, more remote mirroring options and integrated support for file storage

Expect your storage to automatically analyze, adapt to, and improve application performance

Easy Tier for DS8000® and Storwize® V7000, and IBM® XIV® Gen3 adapt to changing application and workload requirements -- with little or no administrator intervention

Always have the files you need – whenever you need them, wherever you are

IBM Active Cloud Engine™ allows data to move to the user. In other clouds, users have to chase their data.

Jim's blog - The Storage Buddhist(link resides outside of ibm.com)

This blog was started partly in reaction to the hit and run nature of the web and twitter. Naturally most of my blog posts reflect a generally positive experience of IBM technology, but I try to avoid denigrating other vendors. It pays to remember that we're all only here temporarily. I write on whatever topic moves me at the time.
