Member Agreement
Please read this Member Agreement carefully before accessing or using IBM Tape Media Rewards Program. By accessing or using IBM Tape Media Rewards Program, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth below, as if you had actually signed them. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions set forth below, you may not participate in the IBM Tape Media Rewards Program.
If you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth, you acknowledge and agree that this Member Agreement is a legally binding contract between you and IBM. IBM may modify the terms and conditions in this Member Agreement as described below. You agree to review the Member Agreement often to familiarize yourself with such modifications.
While IBM does not generally require end-users to provide personally identifiable information to visit and use our sites, it is necessary for end-users to provide their e-mail address, legal name, company name, mailing address, telephone number, etc. in order to accumulate points and order rewards merchandise within the IBM Tape Media Rewards Program. If you choose not to provide individually identifiable information, you will not be able to participate in IBM Tape Media Rewards and your account may be deactivated.
IBM in its sole discretion reserves the right to cancel this program at any time without prior notice.
IBM in its sole discretion reserves the right to add and delete products and adjust point values without prior notice.
Terms and Conditions
Eligibility:
Corporate end-users only within the United States are eligible to participate in IBM Tape Media Rewards.
Member must be a corporate end-user. Distributors and resellers of IBM products are not eligible.
Each participant must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Membership in IBM Tape Media Rewards, any points earned utilizing IBM Tape Media Rewards, or any other related membership benefits are not transferable.
Void where prohibited, taxed or restricted by law.

Complete the online Registration Form. After registration is complete, and login ID and password have been established, the Member account is then eligible to earn points.

Password & Account Access
Member's Password & Account Access Rights & Responsibilities
Member must select a Member identification name (login ID) and password as part of the registration process. Login ID's and passwords can be changed through the Update Profile and Update Password functions. User names and passwords are not case sensitive.
In order to prevent unauthorized activity, to access Tape Media Rewards Member must give IBM the selected Member identification name and password in order to update Member profile information and redeem Tape Media Rewards points.
Member must be logged in to Tape Media Rewards, using his/her Member identification name and password, to access his/her Tape Media Rewards account.
For security purposes, Member is advised to memorize, and not to write down, his/her Member identification name and password.
Member is responsible for keeping his/her e-mail address, Member identification name and password confidential, and is solely responsible for all activities that occur under Member's e-mail address, Member identification name and password, including all unauthorized activities.
Member agrees to (a) immediately notify IBM of any unauthorized use of Member's Member identification name and password or any other breach of security related to this Website or Tape Media Rewards, and (b) ensure that Member exits from Member's account at the end of each session by logging out.
Member agrees to abide by all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations with respect to Member's account.
IBM's Password & Account Access Rights & Responsibilities
IBM will encrypt Member's password on the database.
IBM is entitled to act on instructions received under Member's identification name and password.
IBM cannot and will not be liable for any credits or debits made to Member's account by another individual who uses Member's password, or for any loss or damage arising from Member's failure to adequately safeguard Member's identification name and/or password.
Each Member consents to IBM's employees being able to access your account and records on a case-by-case basis to investigate complaints or allegations of abuse. If this occurs, IBM shall not disclose the existence or occurrence of such an investigation unless otherwise required by law.
Generally, only the Member named on the account will be entitled to access account information. However, IBM does comply with court orders and subpoenas and cooperates with investigations by state and federal agencies. Under these circumstances your account information may be shared with others with or without your knowledge or consent.
Earning and Redeeming Points
Purchase IBM LTO Ultrium 1, 2, 3 data cartridges and save your invoices. Log onto
www.tapemediarewards.com and enter your purchase information including invoice date, invoice number, reseller, product purchase by type, quantity and price. Points will automatically tally to provide a running record of total available points.
Check your point balance online. Log into the Tape Media Rewards website using your user ID and password. Your point balance will be displayed in the top right-hand section on each page of the website. For more detailed information pertaining to your Tape Media Rewards activity, view your Point Summary.
Review the online rewards catalog by point level. Select the reward that you want to redeem points for.
Select "Add to Rewards Cart." Remember to read the reward's restrictions before selecting Add Rewards to Cart.
Select "Proceed to Checkout." Follow the outlined step-by-step instructions to complete your redemption. See below for Checkout and Confirmation Process step by step process.
Check Out and Confirmation Process
Select "Proceed to Checkout" after all of the rewards you wish to redeem are placed in your Cart.
Choose the address where you want your reward to be shipped to. The system will automatically default to your billing statement address for your reward shipment. To ship your Reward to an alternative address, click on the "add a new mailing address" link and update the address in which you want the item to be shipped.
All merchandise will shipped via UPS ground. Gift certificates will be sent via FedEx. Reward shipments cannot be made to P.O. boxes. Reward shipments cannot be shipped outside of the 50 United States. IBM is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail or delays due to unforeseen "acts of nature."
Review all the information in the verify section of the Cart.Verify rewards, shipping address and contact information. Once you have verified that the information is correct, click on the "Redeem" button.
Print the redemption confirmation form. Additionally, an e-mail confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address associated with your account.

Proof of Purchase Receipt: A confirmation e-mail will be distributed to your account e-mail when your proof of purchase back up is received. Fraudulent submission of Redemption, Claim or Proof of Purchase could result in federal prosecution under the U.S. Mail Fraud Statutes.
Proof of Purchase Review Process: Allow at least 2 weeks for your proof of purchase back up to be reviewed.
Reward Acceptance or Decline: An e-mail will be distributed to your account e-mail accepting your backup or providing a reason for the decline of your reward. Common reasons for decline include illegible or incomplete invoice backup, duplicate invoice information was used to reach total points or invoice backup is missing.
Accepted rewards will be shipped within 4-6 weeks. An auto response will be sent to your account e-mail confirming the shipment and tracking number.
Participants may return and exchange merchandise rewards within 30 days for any reason. Returned merchandise must be returned in its original packaging with all packing materials, accessories, plastic bags and manuals. Please call our toll free number at 1-800-209-8998 for instructions and questions. Refunds will be issued in points only.
Defective/damaged rewards must be returned within thirty (30) days of receipt and will be replaced by IBM with the same or similar reward. Returned merchandise must be returned in its original packaging with all packing materials, accessories, plastic bags and manuals..
If a reward is out of stock, IBM will "hold" the redemption order until the selected reward is available to be sent to the program participant.
Additional Program Guidelines
Program participants earn points for each of the eligible IBM Recording Media Products purchased on or after November 1, 2006.
Eligible products include IBM LTO Ultrium 1, 2, 3 data cartridges.
IBM in its sole discretion reserves the right to cancel this program at any time without prior notice. IBM may terminate the program in writing at any time, allowing any registered participant ninety (90) days from termination of the program to redeem any earned points, after which all points will expire and be void.
Program participants may terminate program participation in writing at any time, forfeiting all earned points that have not been redeemed.
IBM reserves the right to adjust point levels, adjust participating products, change redemption time periods and change the IBM Tape Media Rewards program rewards upon thirty (30) days prior written notice via posting on
IBM Tape Media Rewards website.
IBM reserves the right to audit the site for accuracy and make adjustments to account balances as necessary.
By participating in the IBM Tape Media Rewards program, participants represent to IBM that receipt of rewards will not cause the participant to violate any laws, orders, rules and regulations applicable to its business, including any internal business rules or guidelines.
By accepting rewards, the program participant agrees that IBM, its affiliated companies, agents, their respective officers, directors, or employees and agents will have no liability for any damage or loss suffered by participant in connection with the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of rewards or relating to the administration of the program, even if due to fault or negligence by any of the foregoing.
Sales tax included in all reward points values.
Participants are responsible for determining, recording, and paying all federal, state, and local taxes related to rewards. It is important that participants keep records of all rewards. Participants should consult with their tax advisors for tax guidelines specific to them. Any and all tax liabilities arising from the program are the sole responsibility of the participant.
