IBM® Director 5.20 is the previous version of IBM® Systems Director. It is an integrated suite of tools that provide you with comprehensive system-management capabilities to maximize system availability and lower IT costs.

IBM Director Server products for Power Systems and System z are no longer supported by IBM as of September 30, 2011 (see IBM Announcements for Power Systems and System z). The downloads for these products were removed from this site on July 13, 2012..
IBM Systems Director Server 6.3.2 does not support IBM Director 5.20 agents for Power or System z. As of September 30, 2011, the IBM Director 5.20 products for Power Systems and System z are no longer supported by IBM (see IBM Announcements for Power Systems and System z).

More information

IBM Director 5.20 is made up of the following components:

IBM Director Server - must be installed on the management server, and provides all the management function of IBM Director.
IBM Director Agent - is installed on a managed system to provide enhanced (Level 2) functionality with which IBM Director can communicate with and administer the managed system.
IBM Director Console - is installed on a desktop computer, workstation, or mobile computer to provide a GUI in which the system administrator can perform tasks in IBM Director.
IBM Director Core Services - is installed on a managed system to provide hardware-specific (Level 1) functionality for IBM Director to communicate with and administer the managed system.
