Approach

Overview Process Phases Availability roadmap
Is your infrastructure ready for On Demand Business? Resiliency and a system designed for continuous availability are keys.

Requesting an engagement
To request an enagagement, contact the HACoC.

If the HACoC approves your engagement request, your IBM client representative will receive a more detailed questionnaire to go over with you. For a successful engagement, IBM must have a thorough understanding of your existing IT infrastructure and processes. You will be asked to describe the business impact of the IT systems under consideration, including any cost-per-minute downtime analysis and existing or planned service-level agreements (SLAs).

Your commitment
Consider whether you can commit the time required for a successful engagement, and whether you can spend the time and resources to implement the recommendations produced by the engagement. A typical engagement requires the participation of both technical and business representatives, as well as at least one executive sponsor.

IBM will spend two days at your site to elicit issues and requirements, and then will formulate recommendations and a suggested course of action. The engagement concludes with a final working session with the client's team at the HACoC.
