Who we are
Deep Computing offers solutions to previously intractable problems, often yielding knowledge and understanding at the frontiers of business and science.
IBM Deep Computing and Blue Gene Capacity on Demand centers can help increase flexibility and choice in how companies and research institutions acquire and pay for compute power. We serve the needs of an increasing and diverse segment of users.
What we offer
IBM offers remote, security-rich virtual private network (VPN) access over the Internet to supercomputing power. Hosted by IBM, this VPN access helps enable clients to rapidly and temporarily flex high-performance computing capacity up or down, proportional to business demands. This capability helps enable rapid response to predictable or unpredictable peak workloads or schedule challenges, as well as rapid response to time-sensitive business opportunities. Clients can implement an optimal combination of in-house fixed capacity or fixed cost, and hosted variable capacity or variable cost HPC infrastructure.
Tap into scalable capacity for compute-intensive scientific and technical workloads requiring tens, hundreds or thousands of CPUs of compute power. |
Implement a more scalable, flexible and responsive high-performance computing infrastructure by scaling beyond in-house limits. |
Take advantage of an IBM hosted cluster operating environment that is designed to provide high degrees of security, resiliency and client isolation and control. |
Satisfy the need for occasional peak capacity when a permanent infrastructure or data center upgrade is not justified. |
Meet demanding time constraints across multiple projects; accelerate time-to-market. |
Accelerate time-to-solution while reducing business, financial and technical risk. |
Avoid the complexities and responsibilities of owning a supercomputer. |
Circumvent capital expenditure and long-term fixed costs in favor of operating expense. |
Pay only for the amount of compute and storage capacity reserved on a pay-for-use basis. |
