This session will assist clients in evaluating their systems management needs and moving toward HA or DR environments that focus on simplicity.

Customer requirements to store, safeguard, retrieve and share data continue to expand. Addressing those requirements has led to continuous innovations in IBM storage and virtualization technologies. This topic covers the broad range of IBM's storage offerings with a focus on how they can be deployed with IBM i and Power systems. Our discussion can encompass integrated storage and SAN technology solutions. We will also discuss the latest enhancements to tape and BRMS technology as they occur.

This topic explores how to meet these demands by utilizing the WebSphere portfolio and a services-oriented approach to integrate people, processes and information inside and outside the enterprise.
UNIX Trends and Directions
Customers running UNIX based solutions are looking for systems that offer open, industry standard technology that is scalable, reliable, and provides investment protection. This presentation covers IBM’s UNIX system offerings, including AIX and Linux.
Power Systems Trends and Directions
IBM Systems built on Power Architecture provide the building blocks of simpler, more integrated infrastructures which can help you improve the economics of IT. This session covers the latest advancements in Power Systems, including Blade Center support, virtualization, consolidation and energy management initiatives. Insights into investment priorities and future plans will also be provided.
IT Optimization and Virtualization
Customers are looking for virtualization technologies and optimization techniques that can help reduce the number of servers, increase server utilization, integrate different hardware technologies, decrease energy requirements, and simplify systems management for the data center. This topic will address technologies for consolidating multiple environments and virtualizing the infrastructure.

The IBM i operating system provides customers with integrated tools and technologies to assist them in implementing and managing a comprehensive security policy, including access control, data protection, network security and overall system integrity. System security, governance and compliance are vital components of an overall security plan. This topic will focus on system-level security capabilities provided by IBM i and related products.
Unified Messaging
The foundation for unified communications has been laid with the integration of Lotus Collaboration solutions and Voice over IP (VoIP) offerings. These technologies combine to extend voice messaging, instant messaging and Web conferencing into real-time collaboration environments which can be further integrated into business applications. This topic will explore how these solutions enable new ways for people, teams and communities to work together.
Systems Management
The growing requirement for good systems management disciplines and tools corresponds with a steady increase in the number and variety of platforms being deployed in businesses of all sizes. The best solutions provide tools to manage systems both individually and collectively, allowing businesses to respond rapidly to new opportunities and changing technologies. This session will focus on the single and multi system management capabilities provided by IBM i and related offerings.

What's New in DB2 for i
DB2 for i is an advanced, fully integrated 64-bit Relational Database Management System. In this session we'll review what's new in the current release and discuss the strategic direction for DB2 in the future.
IBM i Integration with BladeCenter & System x
Customers running IBM i typically also have solutions deployed on PC servers running Windows, Linux or VMware and are looking for ways to simplify the management and administration of all their environments. This topic will address how these Intel-based platforms, when deployed on IBM BladeCenter and System x servers, can be integrated and virtualized with IBM i.
Experience the Rochester Support Center
This session, intended for all audiences, will showcase the Rochester Support Center - a truly world-class work environment that is home to the technical support specialists for IBM System i, iSeries and AS/400. The objective is to provide the audience with not only a tour of the support center but to demonstrate the depth and breadth of skill that can be expected as a hardware and/or software maintenance agreement (HWMA/SWMA) customer. The tour will give new understanding to the old adage "two heads are better than one." Through the HWMA and SWMA services, contracted annual services, customers will learn that they are only a phone call away from a team of literally hundreds of specialists - software engineers, hardware product support specialists, and programmers - with expertise in every area of the IBM System i. This team works around the clock because their customers do! The audience will quickly learn that through the Support Center staff, customers are able to virtually extend their IT staff and productivity to include THE most knowledgeable IBM System i, iSeries and AS/400 support team in the world.

Experience the Rochester Customer Solution Center
This session, intended for all audiences, will showcase the Rochester Customer Solution Center (CSC) - where customized hardware and software solutions come together prior to final shipment to the customer.
This tour will demonstrate to the audience the value of utilizing the IBM Rochester CSC for integration, staging and deployment of IBM's technology solutions, which include Systems i, p and x, as well as OEM equipment: pre-shipment validation of the fully integrated hardware and software, insuring the product is "plug and play" at the customer's site, thereby eliminating the possibility of missing equipment, software install errors, or any quality issue which would cause delays and disruption to the final installation.
The variety of solutions within the CSC ranges from network equipment, handheld scanners, PCs and Point of Sale, to Self-Serve Kiosks, Telecommunications Racks, Balanced Configuration Units and Linux Clusters. Customers will relate to the various technologies and how their own companies incorporate a variety of solutions beyond the data center or desktop for their employees' or customers' efficiency. We frequently hear from our customers, "We wish we had known about your services sooner!"

This presentation/demonstration addresses the application development tools and strategies available and can be tailored to meet specific customer needs.
Printing and Advanced Business Communications*
Business output and printing has always been a standard IT consideration. As this function evolves rapidly into advanced business communications, it has moved to center stage in IT planning and projects. The capability to move beyond hardcopy output into electronic "e-delivery" communications can dramatically change output business processes and drive high investment paybacks.
