This event covers recent announcements and future directions for the IBM i operating system and related offerings. It is intended to provide enough information for IT executives to make strategic investment choices. Presentations and discussion will encompass the enhanced capabilities of IBM i and the systems on which it runs, including IBM Power Systems and Power blades. Additional topics offered during the event could include, but are not limited to, opportunities for simplifying your IT infrastructure, solutions for enhancing business continuity, storage directions, and product updates regarding integrated middleware. This session is intended for business executives of companies where the IBM i platform (or a predecessor) is currently installed. Introducing IBM i
IBM i is the industry's leading integrated operating system. This session will introduce the audience to the IBM i platform and the IBM Power Systems and BladeCenter servers on which it runs. Emphasis will be on the robust capabilities, architectural strengths and measurable business value which characterize the environment and distinguish it from alternatives. We will define the business reasons for acquiring solutions developed for i. You'll discover the strategic role that this environment can play in providing an agile, cost effective, and highly optimized IT infrastructure. This session is intended for business executives with the responsibility for selecting and implementing their information systems. They may also find the session to be valuable for key technical staff. Little or no knowledge the IBM i platform is assumed. As such, it is suitable for companies considering this operating system environment for the first time, as well as for management that may be new to an existing installation.

One-on-One
A "customized" briefing event can be created. To do so, the account team or business partner will work with a designated Briefing Consultant to define objectives, determine an appropriate agenda and identify speakers or other resources. A "one-on-one" briefing will typically begin with a System i platform update, including recent announcements and future directions. Additional topics will be determined based upon the objectives for the briefing. Customized events often take longer to plan and, because they are more focused on specific customer objectives, may require participation of technical specialists. As such, these briefings are usually reserved for significant business opportunities.
