How do I stop collection and transmission of PM for Power Systems performance data to IBM?

Depending on your operating system and transmission method, please refer to the following section for instructions on how to stop collection and transmission of PM for Power Systems performance data to IBM. You must do these steps on each of your server/partitions.

Stop collection and transmission on IBM i (V6R1 or higher)

Do the following steps:

Stop collection and transmission on IBM i (V5R4)

Do the following steps:

Stop collection on AIX V7.1 TL 00, V6.1 TL 3 and V5.3 TL 9 and higher releases

Do the following steps:

Stop collection on AIX (V6.1 TL2, AIX 5.3 TL8 and prior releases (pmaix.rte))

Do the following steps:

Stop Performance Data transmission from Hardware Management Console (HMC) on all AIX releases

To disable individual server/partition(s):

To disable for all the server/partition controlled by this HMC

Note: By un-checking this option, all AIX server/partitions controlled by the HMC will stop sending performance data to IBM.

If you also have ESA configured at server/partition level please follow the instructions below.

Stop Performance Data transmission from stand-alone Electronic Service Agent (ESA) on all AIX releases
